BlueComet Networks Enters Into Registration Services Agreement with ARIN
Albany, NY (August 22, 2026) — BlueComet Networks Inc., a provider of network infrastructure and connectivity solutions, today announced that it has entered into a Registration Services Agreement (RSA) with the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), the nonprofit organization responsible for the management and distribution of internet number resources across the United States, Canada, and parts of the Caribbean.
The RSA establishes BlueComet Networks (BCN) as a direct registrant with ARIN, enabling the company to acquire its own IP address space and an Autonomous System Number (ASN) to support its network operations. Holding these resources directly allows BCN to independently manage its addressing and routing infrastructure, rather than relying solely on address space allocated through an upstream provider.
"Entering into this RSA with ARIN is an important milestone for BlueComet Networks," said Ethan Mentzer, President of BlueComet Networks Inc. "Acquiring our own IP addresses and ASN gives us greater control and flexibility over our network as we grow, and it reflects our commitment to being a responsible steward of the internet number resources entrusted to us. We value the role ARIN plays in maintaining a stable and trustworthy numbering system for the internet community."
The agreement also underscores BCN's continued commitment to full IPv6 adoption and the phaseout of IPv4. With its own ASN, the company will be able to announce its IP address space independently across the internet, establish direct peering relationships with other internet service providers, and gain greater control over its routing policy — all while supporting improved network resilience and portability as the company scales.
BCN plans to use its newly acquired IP addresses and ASN to support the continued growth of its network services, including expanded regional connectivity and improved routing efficiency for its users.
